Yesterday an old friend asked me this…
“Charlie, would you rather have a tooth out, or hire a new employee?”
My response:
“Wisdom tooth every time.”
Especially if they are giving out the good drugs.
Truth is, I’d go tooth – even without the meds.
See I’m not a fan of employees…
Even the good ones.
Now, this might be because I’m a cranky, selfish dude with little patience.
… Or it might be because history has taught me that this is what most of them are thinking – while you’re paying them to do a job:
- Getting home without traffic.
- Sorting out the kids.
- Eating lunch.
- Finding out about Nathans’ stag do.
- Clocking off early.
- Planning that holiday to Ibiza.
- Stalking the ex on Facebook.
- Dealing with the divorce paperwork.
- Paying the water bill.
- Chasing up that doctor’s appointment.
- Signing up for the gym.
- Feeding the cat.
- Watching Gladiators on Saturday.
…. And right at the bottom of their list?
Well, it’s this:
“How much money did I make you and your business today?”
Now let me be clear…
Trying to get snowflake staff to care like you care is dumb-fcukery of the highest order.
After all, you built this thing from the ground up.
They didn’t.
But…
What if you could remove them all together?
What if you didn’t need to deal with their headaches, their whinging, their moaning?
What if the machines started doing the lion’s share of their grunt, without you having to babysit or listen to backchat?
And when I say ‘machines,’ I’m talking processes, systems and automation.
Three things that consistently stand and deliver to you and to your bottom line.
See in my mind and in this new world, the removal of bodies in your business is your biggest ticket to ride.
I mean, imagine it.
How much easier would your life be without the ass-kickings and backstabbings?
How much more money would you bank if your wage bill dramatically dropped?
How much more capacity would you have to scale to £1M+ quickly?
It’s why automation is the backbone of my S.A.S Protocols because it gives you:
Less chaos
Less complexity
Less commoditisation
… And:
More money at more margin.
Think of results and impact like this:
- Chris scaled from 12k to 48k per month with no employees.
- Matt in the Midlands scaled to 101k a month after sacking three employees.
- Alan and his brother scaled to 217k in profit in their two-man operation.
So, that all said, if you have seen the light and you too are ready to scale to 1M+ without an army of employees, then here’s what to do next.
