Last week I blew a man’s mind.
…And fixed a massive pain in his arse.
This is what happened (in his words):

“So on the back of the last Think Tank, I took a look at what was costing me the most time in the company.
With six engineers producing on average 3 certificates a day, that’s 90 certificates that I have to review, sign off, and validate. And then write an email report to send to the customer.
This is a monumental chore which can soak up to 18 hrs of my time weekly. It’s boring, I miss bits and then end up procrastinating!
With a considerable amount of help from Charlie we have devised a system that automates the whole thing.
All I have to do is briefly check and authorise the certificate then upload it and the machine does the rest.
It will pull the client details, read the certificate and write to the customer outlining any items that need addressing, highlighting any non-conformances, and suggesting a pathway for repair.
It now takes me 15 minutes a day. By 8:00 I am on to better things including reading emails from customers saying how detailed and efficient we are.
I’ll always need people to do the job, but the office is being taken over by the machine.”
