Someone said this on a call with me this week:
“Charlie you’re a ruthless son of a bitch.”
Correct. I am.
When it comes to myself, my priority and my focus I unashamedly act with speed and without mercy.
In this new world order, having a ruthless focus is the only way the self-made man can survive and thrive.
Yet for many right now, ‘focus’ is an elusive mistress.
Too many men are swimming in a sea of overwhelm and procrastination.
Which is understandable and yet very dangerous.
You see, overwhelm stops action.
And when you stop acting, you do not know where to re-start.
Trouble being, when you don’t know where to start – you never begin.
So instead we busy ourselves with the lesser “shit”.
… Bitching about ‘time.’
… Focusing on things that are unproductive at best and foolish at worst.
And here’s the rub…
When you are the captain at the helm of the ship, it’s easy to think everything you do is essential.
Trouble is, this kind of thinking is deluded, dangerous and bullshit of the highest order.
The reality being, most of what we think we must do is irrelevant and insignificant.
Meaning right it’s time to ruthlessly cut the shit…
And zero in on what’s going to MOVE THE DIAL.
Remember those who move ruthlessly forward will be the ones who will always be rewarded.
