Last weekend and four months late, I finally watched the last John Wick film.
It’s a banger.
… Gun fights, mixed martial arts and the man from Love Joy.
The best thing about it?
The criminal underworld and its strict adherence to rules and consequences
Assassination in broad daylight?
You go right ahead, son.
Conduct ‘business’ (killing) on the grounds of Continental Hotel?
Well, you my friend, best start running.
See, the consequences for breaking the rules are swift and simple:
Excommunicado.
That’s you, out on your ear and with a bounty on your head.
A dark mark which only ends one way…
Badly.
And here’s where it gets instructive.
Because as the bullets keep spraying and the blood keeps spilling, Winston utters these fateful words:
“It seems like everyone is suffering from the consequences of their actions.”
Wise words that couldn’t be more true for smart ambitious men like you and I.
After all, and as I suspect you know from first-hand experience…
Your actions ALWAYS have consequences.
… Especially in this game, and especially in your business.
It’s why as you scale up, you would be wise to consider that the actions you take today will be the difference between your life and death tomorrow.
