It’s that time of the month again.
It means after I finish writing you this email I’m doing the books…
A chore only the bean counters truely enjoy.
You know the sort, whilst the rest of us would rather take our eyes out with a spoon than sit through a finance meeting…
They get a hard-on for a tidy spreadsheet and a pivot table.
Yet there is something I admire about bean counters…
They all worship one god…
And they are ruthless with it.
Emotion, reasoning, and religion go out the window.
‘The numbers’ rule all.
Truth is, if you’re looking to scale up you’d be smart to start worshipping them too.
Think of it this way….
- To break 1M+ you need 84k per month.
- To break 500k you need 42k per month.
- To break 250k you need 21k per month.
Which begs the question, whatever your endgame and when you look at your numbers…
- How far away are you?
- How many projects would that be?
- How can you get there?
Truth is, to hit 1M+ there are two ‘number’ levers you can pull…
Number Lever #1
Now, what I’m about to say scares the living daylights out of most, BUT is often the single difference between standing still and scale…
See, chances are, you are underselling, undervaluing and underrating yourself.
With the right offering, right positioning, and right promotion you CAN charge double.
It happens time and time again inside my two groups and behind our closed doors.
It’s all about targeting and selling to a starving crowd.
(I talked about this in Tuesday’s email.)
Number Lever #2
In other words, create more thru-put (capacity).
You can do this by…
Working your tits off.
… Or by hiring more staff.
Double no thanks.
… Or by turning your business into a sausage factory with systems and automation.
Right now and in this new emerging economy these two levers alongside my S.A.S framework are single-handily responsible for consistently pushing people to 1M+.
But don’t take my word for it – the numbers from June 2023 are in, and here are the results from just a handful of men:
… Steve scaled to 76k per month with just one other member of staff.
… Paul from N. Wales scaled to 115k per month for the first time ever with his small five-man team.
… Alan and his brother scaled to 105k per month in their two-man operation.
… And Matt from Wolverhampton scaled to 101k a month after getting rid of two employees.
Case in point being, if you want to start consistently pulling the right money levers…
… So that you can start pushing your operation to a 1M+ without adding more employees, then here’s what to do next:
