Now he is right.
I have minimal followers.
And the reason why is insightful… and pretty simple.
In this game, my goal is money in the bank.
And, last time I checked, followers don’t feed your kids.
You can’t take likes to the bank.
Tesco doesn’t accept them for your dinner.
HSBC doesn’t accept them for your mortgage.
Likes, followers, and shares are called vanity metrics for a reason.
And I get it.
These make you feel good for a second, even if you paid for them, or got them via a circle jerk.
But truth is, when you play this game for yourself you’ve got to be wise.
Wiser than most.
See, maybe the corporate fat cats can waste time and money on this side-show trick…
You cannot.
Do not fall into the trap.
Vanity metrics don’t build your war chest.
Profit does.
My goal?
