Do your employees do this?

It’s Sunday, 7.31 am and I’ve already got the rage.

Sick to the back teeth with my 10-year-old using me as his brain…

‘Dad, where are my rugby socks?’

‘Dad, do you reckon Fred’s playing?’

‘Dad, are my boots in the garage?’

… F-U-U-U-U-U-K me.

A mini master of deferred responsibility.

He finds it easier to ask me (or his mum) than to think for himself.

So for the last three weeks, I’ve been trying to beat it out of him with a firm:

“Barney – what do Y-O-U think?”

The impact of my efforts so far?

Now here’s the thing…

I’d love to say deferred responsibility is a curse cast only onto the young.

But, it seems now more than ever, grown adults too are suffering under the same spell of stupidity.

A sorry state of affairs that is only getting worse.

It’s everywhere…

Friends deferring responsibility of where to go out.

Family deferring responsibility of what to eat out.

… And employees deferring responsibility of what to do next.

And I get it.

… Some do it to seem polite.

… Others do it to seem laid back.

But most?

Well, most do it because they’d rather you do the heavy lifting and heavy thinking.

Which is a problem for men like you and I.

Because chances are, as someone that built something of your own, you are pretty damn good at taking responsibility and taking action…

So it all gets deferred to YOU.

Which is a costly cross to bear.

It costs you mentally, as you deal with arsehole questions.

It costs you financially, as you waste precious time.

And eventually, it costs you physically as you get sick to the back teeth of being all things to all men.

It’s one of the many reasons I keep employees to a bare minimum.

.. B-U-T it begs the question:

If you have to have employees, then what?

Well, in my experience, you have to remove the need for them to think.

You automate and you systemise.

It’s the only way to stop them from pestering away your profits.

And it’s the only real way to scale and push to 1M+ without an army of employees banging down your door asking “what next.”

It’s probably why automation is one of my core S.A.S protocols…

… And it’s probably also why men who choose to deploy it get results like this…

Paul from N. Wales who scaled to 115k month for the first time ever with his small five-man team.

John who scaled to 48k month with three employees in his irrigation business.

And Steve who scaled to 76k month with just one other member of staff.

… Let me be clear this is N-O-T where they started.

Before they decided to do this, they were flatlined and floundering at 10-35k a month.

So, if you’re ready to set yourself free from others deferring their responsibility to you, and if you want to finally scale to 1M+ without an army of employees, then here’s what to do next:
