Now, I don’t know what it’s like in your town, but here in Lichfield, you could sum up the last 14 days with one word, and one word only….
SCRAMBLE.
That is all hands to the pump as shops, restaurants and others start trying to salvage twelve months of government backed dumb-fuckery, in one last ditch attempt to start moving the dial in the right direction.
- Commendable – Yes.
- Clever – No
See here’s the thing.
A scramble is not scalable or sustainable.
Strategy however, is – on both accounts.
Now by the fact that you’re reading this, I suspect that you are smarter than most.
In fact if you’re anything like the other men in this tribe, I suspect that you too are optimistic and ready to pounce as the wheels of commerce, finally, start to turn.
Which means, for you my friend, there is no time to waste.
The conditions right now have never been more ideal for you to strategically and radically rise to the next level – while everyone one else scrambles and is caught with their pants down.
Truth is, if you fall victim to the same arsehole thinking of the mass mediocre majorty, I worry that you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.
In fact the numbers show that a record 60% of men at the helm of their own business EXPECT to do substantially better in the next 12 to 36 months.
… The other 40% expect the opposite.
Now, if the rumblings here are to be believed, the last time the economy was on the brink of something this B-I-G, petrol was sub £1 a liter!
… So, you are right to be thinking, now is the time to double down and up-the-anti.
… BUT remember, over the next 12 months and as the furlough cookie starts to crumble…
Success will be the natural by-product of long term strategic thinking over short term scrambles for a shot in the arm.
… Or in other words, the spoils will always go to the men willing to wage strategic warfare – at speed and with fall bore, on their marketplace and over their competitors.
The fundamental reason I suspect why the men of The Fellowship continue to get radical results.
