Well, gentlemen, I’m not one for blowing my own trumpet, I usually try to shy away from any mention of success.
Our little company has sat stagnant with a turnover of around 650K and p*ss-poor profit for several years, while I’ve run around like a headless chicken, frustrated and demoralised.
Last year was a little better than normal because we won a high-cost contract but that turned into a total nightmare from start to finish.
Early this year I decided to join you wonderful bunch and got a total beating from Charlie!
There were no dramatic changes just little subtle ones, ditching arsehole customers, upping our rates, choosing better customers, and automating processes.
We normally average turnover of about 65k a month but we had a record month in March of 135K.
This month we have hit 125k and made over 500K for the first half of our financial year.
Now I know gross turnover doesn’t mean anything if the profits are sh*t, but the margins are also improved dramatically.
And I’m doing less.
I’ve had a boll*cking from Charlie for not sharing this with the group as it encourages everyone else and proves that this formula does work, so here it is.
From 65 to 125k a month. To say I’m buzzing is an understatement.
