And this month’s big topic was employees, AGAIN, and something was causing a stir…
Now full disclosure, I’m useless with people.
It’s why I have no permanent staff (except Sue.)
It’s why I automate as much as possible (and any business)
And it’s probably why I’ve never heard this term before …
Turns out this is when employees use their mobiles to conduct personal business during work hours.
Now, in a recent survey by MobilIron the majority of 20 to 40-year-olds are messaging via various channels all day long.
Make worse by the fact that 64% would quit if their boss asked them to stop.
Now, from what I’ve seen, the government and the fat cat corporates have decreed this dumb-fuckery as the ‘new’ normal.
… Topping it off with the idea that those at the helm of their own business just need to ‘put up and shut up.’
That means men like you and I, bending the knee to the will and whim of employees.
… Or in other words it seems it’s now deemed normal to let employees rule the roost, no matter the cost.
In my experience and for most men in this game, employees are already a source of pain, headaches, overwhelm, and pressure.
Why give them another inch when they already take a mile?!
Point being, whilst some will go ahead and allow themselves to be bent over the barrel just to keep the mediocre and the masses happy.…
I would suggest that the smart ambitious men here should choose to buck the trend and do things differently, in order to take back control.
Meaning there has never been a more important time to embrace the iron principles of operating like a One Man Empire.
