A supposed true story about the space race…
Back in the 1960’s Soviets and the Americans were going at it.
Who would conquer the galaxy?
Anyway, story goes that NASA twigged pens wouldn’t work in space.
Zero gravity made them defunct.
A big problem for the astronauts.
Not to be defeated, NASA got together a team of clever scientists.
Their mission?
Create the ‘anti-gravity’ pen.
According to the story, this bad boy took ages.
And cost millions.
Anyway, once the Cold War had softened, NASA found out the Soviets had an entirely different solution to the same problem…
A pencil.
Time needed? A trip to the nearest shop.
Cost? Peanuts for a pack of twenty.
Perhaps the most expensive example of overthinking it in modern history.
Now, I’ve no idea if the story is true.
Either way, it’s very insightful, especially for men in this game.
See, overthinking is a curse.
I’ve been very guilty in the past.
See it’s easy to overthink when Y-OU are making the decisions…
