Over the last week I’ve made a decision to re-unplug from the mass media matrix.
Truth is, it’s been fucking with my head for a while now so I’ve taken to reading short stories instead of reading the news.
Yesterday I read this one from Aesop’s Fables.
… It’s one, now more than ever, I feel needed to be shared with smart ambitious men, like you, in this tribe – so let’s begin…
There’s a boy playing in the fields who gets stung by a nettle.
He ran home to his mother, telling her that he had just touched the nasty weed, and it had stung him.
“It was just you touching it, my boy, that caused it to sting you.”
Said the mother…
“ The next time you meddle with a nettle, grasp it tightly, and it will do you no harm.”
Or in other words, always:
DO BOLDLY WHAT YOU DO AT ALL TIMES.
- Forget consequences…
- Forget what others might think…
- Forget comfort…
Remember as this week unfolds, the gods will always look favourably on men of BOLD action!
