The brass balls of Billy Beck (true story)…

I’ve got an instructive (and immoral) story for you today.

… But more on that in a moment.

First, I want to share with you some flawed feedback on Tuesday’s email about pricing and hitting 1M+…

“Charlie, you can’t just double prices. That is immoral, especially when people are struggling.” Richard, Exeter. 

My response? 


You can do what you want. 

You play this game for yourself.

You get to make the rules. 

Want to double prices? Do it.

Want to half prices? It’s your funeral. 

Want to go to the office in shorts and cowboy boots? Enjoy it. 

After all…

The consequences will always sit on your shoulders.

Anyway, let’s move on to that story.

It’s one about a business man called Billy Beck.  

Our story begins in the deep dark North… 

Where Billy is a gun for hire in the construction industry, with his five staff.

To win work Billy fights hard. 

Competing with Joe down the road, Pete up the hill, and Jack around the corner. 

He wins projects but victory comes at a price…

Profit margin. 

A few years in, and despite looking ok on paper, Billy is feeling beaten and battle-weary. 

After one last pitiful project in which he barely made a pittance he decides…


Enough of the overwhelm, the headaches, and the endless plateaus. 

And so begins the immoral part of our story… 

See, Bill went outlaw. 

He sacked his team.

All of them. 

To replace them? 

Automation, systems, and two sub-contractors. 

Next up…  

Billy jacked his prices. 

By two-fold.

A doubling overnight. 

No additional skills… no extra qualifications… no new letters after his name to justify the move. 

… Just brass balls.

Plus he didn’t ask customers nicely… or test the waters…  or bend the rules. 

Customers were free to leave and go elsewhere. 

… 90% didn’t bat an eyelid or budge.

They stuck. 

Plus, he acquired three new big hitters because he was now at the top end of the market.

In other words…  

In two immoral moves, he built a simple machine that scales. 

Full disclosure, Billy is not his real name. 

I’ve been asked to keep that under wraps.

Regardless, he used my S.A.S protocol to get to where he is today.

And in doing so he faced a lot of criticism. 

And he scaled. 


Going from £10K per month to £53K per month in 12 months – with less staff.

Truth is, what I do and help men deploy is not for everyone.
