Now he has been in charge for a while, call me sensitive, but I don’t think King Keir likes small businesses.
For many 2025 will be hard.
Yet for all the pain he’s going to inflict on us, in truth I believe there’s another group he will hurt more.
Long term anyway.
One that he is supposedly standing up for…
‘Working People.’
(Remember despite the hours, the years, the blood, sweat and tears, according to Kier you don’t work sunshine.)
Anyway, hear me out…
On paper things look rosy for the working man, NI, minimum wage and ‘Making Work Pay’…
What they called the ‘biggest increase in employment regulation in a generation.’
I call it ideological lunacy.
Flexible working – immediately.
Claim unfair dismal – immediately.
The lunatics are officially running the asylum.
Yet when you dig a bit deeper, here is how 2025 is looking in the real world..
It’s never been more dangerous or more expensive to employ people.
And employees were hardly a walk in the park before this.
Which makes you wonder…
Why would anyone want more employees? Or any at all?
Not when other options are far more profitable and far less dangerous.
I believe these efforts will push business owners the other way.
Any smart cookie in this game is now looking for scale outside the ‘employee’ box.
…Outsourcing, automation, setting up something new, selling up, early retirement, offshoring.
I’ve heard it all these past few weeks.
And it’s no coincidence that in the past month or so more ‘big’ businesses than ever have contacted Sue (my P.A.) to ask about private consulting.
In short…
The government are making ‘scaling with people’ suicide for 2025.
So I am urging you – don’t do it.
Walk a new road.
Don’t sacrifice all that you have worked so hard to build.
Don’t sacrifice your profits and your business to this madness.
…. And come 2025 when this all hits the fan?
Don’t say you were warned.
Make More. Provide More. Be More.
