And these are just hard costs.

As of April, hiring more employees has never been a more painful decision.
And one that no man in this game should be taking lightly.
Now, I’m not saying every business can run without employees.
That would be impossible.
But I am saying this – you’d be wise to make every other move you can before hiring.
Do not be a willing victim of this raid on your profit.
And if you do choose to lay down and take the raid on your profits…
Do not moan about employees and then go back for more.
It is dumb fcukery of the highest order.
Because I suspect, like most in this game, you didn’t set your business to be a charity.
Most get into this game to make money.
To look after your family.
To give yourself a good life.
To secure your future.
And the cold reality is, when it comes to your business, it’s not employee necks on the line.
It’s yours.
…You’re the one who’s put everything into this.
…You’re the one who’s made all the sacrifices.
…You’re the one who loses sleep over profit, customers and the future.
Truth is, in this game bloat from bodies always makes you slow and cumbersome.
The big difference now is that in the current economy, this is the very last thing you need.
Not only will growth be near impossible, but that bloat from bodies could very easily sink your ship.
Scale will be found in businesses that are lean, agile, and as profitable as humanly possible.
