Instructive email about the new enrollment I’m opening up….
“Charlie, I’ve been on this list for 5 years. On the back of the email on Tuesday, it’s time for me to put in an application and get involved with your groups in January. Can’t wait.”
Hmmmmmm.
Hold your horses there, chief.
Do not apply.
Not yet.
You probably won’t get in.
Because when I read the phrase “get involved,” it raised a red flag.
You see, “getting involved” is a weak move.
It’s a half-arsed way to dip your toe in the water, without making the decision to swim.
When someone’s just involved, they don’t give it their all.
If it fails, not a big deal, right?
You can brush your hands, say “Oh well, I tried,” and walk away with a nice excuse in your pocket and a few more wasted months behind you.
It’s why I never accept those who want to get involved.
Only those who want to commit.
Because commitment and involvement are completely different.
You don’t slink away when you’re committed.
You make it.
Do or die.
So before you even think about filling in an application—ask yourself:
- Are you committed to your business?
- Are you committed to building that life you promised?
- Are you committed to making what you deserve after all the work you’ve put in?
And be brutally honest.
If the answer’s anything less than yes?
Don’t apply.
But if you’re dead certain you’re ready to commit, then maybe, just maybe… we’ll talk.
