Yesterday I was moseying out of the office when someone called my name…
“Charlie!”
I spun around and saw a familiar face.
A guy from another office in the business village.
He tapped his watch and laughed…
“Charlie, 3 o’clock and leaving already? Stop being lazy mate!”
Glancing at my watch, I smirked.
Turns out his timekeeping is off.
It was actually 3.07 pm.
I let it slide given that I was actually slacking…
Usually, I am never in the office past 3:00 pm.
Is that lazy?
Maybe.
Probably.
Yet… isn’t that the holy grail of this whole game?
Being able to do what you want, when you want, while the money still keeps pouring in?
… Or did I miss the point?
Truth is, there is no award (or reward) for breaking your back.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…
“Charlie sounds great – but for me… in my business… how!?”
And I get it.
It goes against everything you were told.
From getting the gold star at school for ‘working hard’…
To every Hollywood rags-to-riches tale about ‘work ethic’ being the magic cure.
And the annoying thing is…
Chances are you got this far because you’re good at hard work….
Most men in this game are.
You and I are natural grafters.
It’s that grit and determination that set us apart.
Yet, past a point, it’s time to realise this:
Working your bollocks off will only get you so far.
So how do you make the shift, especially if you want to scale to 1M+?
Stop doing more.
Focus on doing less.
.. And B-U-R-N everything you’ve ever read about productivity to the ground.
See, productivity focuses on doing, NOT profiting.
In other words, it treats the symptoms but not the cause.
See, the trouble with ‘doing’ is this…
There is always something to do and always fires to fight.
Unless… you start putting out those fires at source.
So they never (ever) happen again.
And that comes down to two things:
First, determine who (or what) will tackle this problem in the future.
It can be another person or a machine.
… But not you.
Then… establish what system or automation you need to put in place to make sure this problem NEVER happens again.
Focus on those two things, and sooner, rather than later…
Most problems stop – for good.
Never to darken your door again.
In other words, you kill reactivity and you finally get to be ‘lazy’….
Whilst those on the productivity train, well…
They’re still on the hamster wheel.
They’re still getting loads done…
… But they’re still not moving very fcuking far.
It’s why automation will always trump productivity.
Especially if you want to scale to 1M+ without working yourself into an early grave.
And it is exactly what men here do as part of the S.A.S protocols, and how they get results like this:
… Matt who scaled to 101k a month after getting rid of two employees.
… Steve who scaled to 76k a month with just one other member of staff.
… And Alan and his brother who scaled to 105k a month with 30k profit in their two-man operation.
So if you’re ready to embrace laziness and scale to 1M+ without an army of employees, here’s what to do next.
