Last week I saw something that irked me. Another righteous post on LinkedIn…
This time from a cushty corporate worker bemoaning the return to the office.
Apparently, ‘office culture is dead in 2024.’
Hmmmm.
The main target of his wrath?
Elon Musk.
Musk has apparently stated all Tesla employees are to be office-based.
And if they don’t like it they can resign.
Now, I’m not saying he’s right.
Time will tell on that.
But I am saying this…
Tesla is his company and how it runs is his decision.
If employees don’t like it?
They have the choice to tell him to jog on.
And if in the end, Musk is left with no employees and his empire crumbles?
That’s on him.
Same goes for you.
And I urge you to remember this:
The unsolicited opinions of others are irrelevant.
It doesn’t matter what he thinks, she thinks, or what cushty Carl on social thinks.
Because in this game…
The buck stops with you.
Always.
And while that is a heavy burden of responsibility….
It also gives you the freedom to make the decisions.
In your house, you set the tone.
I urge you to set in wisely.
