Just over a week to go and the election is hotting up. The cheat sheet is this…
Rishi is getting bent over.
From all angles.
My favourite Rishi talking point?
The D-Day Fudge Up.
(Rishi left the D-Day memorial ceremony early.)
The Financial Times summed it up as:
“The stupidest of stupid ideas.”
Should he have left early?
Of course not.
It was a dumb move.
However… I’d ask you not to be too fast in tearing him a new one.
See, chances are, you’ve pulled a Rishi.
…Way more than you realise.
As an example, here are some folks who have Rishi’d on me this week:
- The roofer who never showed.
- The commercial agent who never returned my call.
- The solicitor who thought they could be 20 mins late for a meeting.
And now, none of the mediocre folks will get a sniff at my money.
And who knows ‘why’…
Maybe they got sick.
Maybe they got a bigger fish to fry.
Maybe they got busy and forgot.
And, I get it.
It is easily done, especially for men in this game.
You have all the plates to spin, all the headaches to deal with, all the problems to fix.
It is inevitable things will fall through the cracks.
But here’s the thing…
Your customers do not care.
Call them impatient, call them a pain in the backside, call them what the hell you want.
The reality is this…
You are leaving good money on the table.
And that really is “the stupidest of stupid ideas.”
Until next time.
Make More. Provide More. Be More.
