I’ve spotted a few competitors creeping onto my list and social media following. I think they’re trying to spy, snoop and copy. What should I do? Keep them or kill them?

Hmmmmmm… interesting question and one that shines a light on the current state of laziness in today’s marketplace.
A worrying trend where careless competitors would rather “copy and paste” than think for themselves.
Short answer?
It depends.
Reality is, and as I’ve talked about before, I too have to deal with my fair share of rip-off merchants.
Sue occasionally deletes them, only for them to pop up again a month or two later.
It’s a bit like dickhead whack-a-mole.
Truth is, success in this game rarely comes from trying to rip off competitors or being worried about others doing it to you.
After all, you don’t succeed by focusing on others.
You succeed at scale by focusing on YOU.
… By innovating.
… By inventing.
… By investing.
And by doing what others won’t today, to have what others want tomorrow.
That said, there is one thing that you do want others looking at on your behalf – especially as you scale up.
Your blind spots.
The shit you can’t see because you’re too deep in the forest to see through the trees.
It’s the only way to successfully spot what’s about to punch you square in the face.
After all and as you scale, it’s impossible to see and know everything as just one man.
Probably why, when I have a spot open, men clamber hand over fist to get into one my two groups…
… Because of the confidential, close-knit comradery they get with others who are there to help them profit instead of pry.
