Last week Barney had an inset day at school.
So, while the teachers were training, we hit up Legoland.
… And let me tell you, a theme park on a random Monday in March….
Heaven.
No queuing.
No whining.
No crowds.
Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t like crowds.
Especially ones full of the great unwashed masses.
It’s why I try and avoid ‘em like the plague.
In pleasure AND in business.
… And especially at the moment.
See right now there seems to be little thinking outside of the box.
In fact if what I’m seeing online is a measuring stick, it seems strategical, for most, there is little more happening than a merry dance of follow the leader.
Which nine times out of ten, is like the blind leading the blind.
Meaning…
- Everyone markets the same…
- Everyone sells the same…
- And everyone operates the same…
Utter dumb-fuckery and the deadliest of dangers when it comes to acting like the other arseholes.
… Because here’s the problem, in any market, of falling victim to the gravitational pull of conformity:
It creates a crowd.
A sea of sameness.
A race to the bottom on price.
… Especially right now and especially in this fucked up world blur of boom & bust.
It’s why today I’d have you consider that for any self-made man of value, the mantra for money must always be to forge your own path.
To take the road less followed.
To draw a line in the sand and stand out from the crowd – like a sore thumb.
See, when you do…
You create space.
Fucking acres of it.
Competitors are no competition
Price is no longer king.
And this whole fucking game becomes fun (again) – because you no longer have to deal with the great unwashed masses.
Remember my friend, in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is always king.
Make More. Provide More. Be More.
