A Heart-Wrenching Dilemma And The Difference Between Life And Death…
This week a close friend was faced with a choice, having recently gotten a terrible and tragic medical diagnosis.
The diagnosis and death note?
A condition that is going to knock 23 yrs off his life.
A sucker punch that he doesn’t deserve and is unjust.
Yet in life, sometimes you just get dealt a bad hand.
The bad news is, in the UK there is no treatment on the NHS, or in private.
The good news, in the USA there is a glimmer of hope.
Unsurprisingly it is gonna be expensive.
£25,000 a pop expensive.
… And even then, it’s not guaranteed.
So he faces a choice.
Do, or literally, die.
Now here’s where things get really instructive.
See he has his own business and it’s doing well, but he’s no “Flash Harry.”
…There’s no trophy car, no trophy house, no trophy wife.
Instead, he’s been smarter with his profits.
Some have been ploughed back into the business.
Some have been put away for a rainy day.
… And some have been sidelined so he actually has the means, and the money, to make choices like this.
A wise and important lesson for every single one of us who chooses to stand on our own two feet.
Because unfortunately, from what I’m seeing online and in the streets, too many good men are pissing away good cash, on bad trophies.
Leaving most with no freedom, no options, and no choice – when it comes to the sucker punches of life like this.
So this week my friend, I’d urge you to focus your energies and efforts on creating choices NOT of collecting treasure.
After all, in this game and as the man of the hour, it’s the freedom of choice that’s the biggest gift you can give yourself and your family.
